Voting Is Still Open for 4 People Choice Awards categories
Peopleschoice.com: People’s Choice Awards 2017 is fast approaching! And with just days just days to go before the big night, there’s still time to make sure your voice is heard.
People’s Choice Awards nominees and winners are based solely on fan votes, and while most of this year’s major categories are all locked up (voting closed in most categories on Dec. 15), four key races are still in play.
The four PCA categories that are still open for voting are Favorite New TV Comedy, Favorite New TV Drama, Favorite Year End Blockbuster and CBS.com’s Favorite Digital Obsession. And their contenders are in stiff competition.
The nominees for Favorite New TV Comedy are ABC’s American Housewife, NBC’s The Good Place, and CBS’ The Great Indoors, Kevin Can Wait and Man with a Plan. Favorite New TV Drama nominees include ABC’s Designated Survivor and Timeless, NBC’s This Is Us, CBS’ Bull and FOX’s The Exorcist. In the category of Favorite Year End Blockbuster, Doctor Strange, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, Moana, Sing and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story are still battling it out. And in true 21st century fashion, this year’s CBS.com’s Favorite Digital Obsession nominees are the viral digital trends we couldn’t help but jump on in 2016, including Facebook Live, 360 & VR, Pokemon Go, Snapchat Lenses and the Mannequin Challenge.
And the best part? Voting in these categories will remain open up until show night. You can cast your vote via PeoplesChoice.com, the People’s Choice Awards Facebook page, and/or the People’s Choice Awards mobile app. So go now, and be sure to tune into the People’s Choice Awards 2017 on Wednesday, Jan. 18 to see who takes home the hardware!
Hosted by The Great Indoors star Joel McHale, People’s Choice Awards 2017 airs live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017 (9:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on CBS.
